St Stephen's AIDS Trust’s first collaboration in clinical mentoring was with the African Comprehensive HIV and AIDS Partnership (ACHAP), providing mentors to the successful nationwide antiretroviral training programme in Botswana. Since then, the Charity has worked in partnership with ICEHA (International Centre for Equal Healthcare Access http://www.iceha.org/), and CHAI (Clinton Foundation) http://www.clintonfoundation.org/ and other organisations, to recruit and promote mentoring programmes to physicians, nurses and other healthcare workers from the UK. St Stephen's AIDS Trust has launched a Volunteer Bursary Fund, in partnership with an unrestricted educational grant from Gilead Sciences, to which all healthcare professionals undertaking clinical mentoriing positions may apply. Special consideration will be given to those applying via SSAT to mentor with their partner organisations, ICEHA and CHAI.
