Every single, practical advance that has been made in the fight against AIDS has been the result  of dedicated  HIV research.  But HIV can and does mutate,  and people can become drug resistant..    We need research to keep people who have HIV well and healthy,    we need it for new therapy,   we need it to fight drug resistance, and we need it to find a vaccine.  

HIV research takes time, and requires huge financial support.     St Stephen’s AIDS Trust does not receive government funding.    We are funded entirely though our clinical trials activity and the generous support from donations and legacies.     We must continue our research to develop new and better treatments and to develop a vaccine. Extraordinary progress has been made.     You can help us to continue with this vital work.

Making a donation, or remembering St Stephen's AIDS Trust in your will, is one of the most meaningful ways you can support our work. You may request that your donation supports a specific area of research, or help fund its education work in the UK, or the international education programmes we run in resource poor countries.
